Support Our Trup

Jerry Trupiano, unceremoniously discarded in favor of the broadcasting cipher, Glenn Geffner, at least gets some respect from the Lowell Spinners. Nothwithstanding the fact that the Red Sox front office has decreed that Trupiano's name not be uttered in Red Sox radio broadcasts, and their choice to remove all evidence of his ever having broadcast a Red Sox game, the Lowell Spinners continue to give him the respect he deserves. He threw out a pitch earlier this month, and his autograph is an honored prize in their weekly trivia contest:

Welcome to Spinners Trivia...Answer the following question correctly for a chance to win a baseball scorebook autographed by Red Sox broadcasting legend Jerry Trupiano. Send your answer to with "Trivia" in the subject line. Please include your name.

Why are the centerfield seats at Fenway Park sometimes blocked off and not sold?

Hmm, that's a tough one. How about, they block them off in day games to provide a better backdrop for the hitters?

So, go ahead and enter the contest, and give Trup some love in the process.
