Sunday was State O'Maine day at Fenway.
As is the practice, the Governor paid a visit to the broadcast booth. Maine's Governor, John Baldacci, is not one of the sharpest knives in the drawer, and appeared taken aback by the lack of Trup in the booth. He mentioned the annual trip that "you guys" make to Bangor in the Winter every year for the local radio station's baseball function.
Except of course, Jerry is the one who has made the trip every year (including, I think, this year, after his contract was not renewed). The guv seemed not quite sure what to do with O'Brien, who attempted to ingratiate himself with the Chief Exec. by saying that he lived in NH, only 25 minutes from Maine. At least he didn't say that he lived there to avoid the mind-crushingly high tax burden in Maine.
