Just A Thought

1. The Woman's World Cup begins in China in a week's time.
2, ESPN is broadcasting some of the games.
3. Dave O'Brien is the lead broadcaster for ESPN football (soccer to us)
4. China is a long way from Boston.

That doesn't bode well.

As for Bucholz (Saturday) and Ellsbury (Sunday), don't say I didn't warn you.

You're welcome.

I was at the park Sunday, and the only thing that bothered me is that Bucholz looked like he was spending a lot of time talking to Tavarez. That can't be good.

Meanwhile, som e woman referred to Glenn Geffner as "bubbly"

That strikes me funny.

couple things first on Geffner. His Ellsbury HR call was a flat out imitation of John Sterling. It is high, it is is far...etc. someone at entercom best bitch slap him for that.

second, ESPN didn't send its basketball announcers to las vegas for the FIBA championships instead having them call play by play from Bristol CT. hopefully the world wide leader is too damn cheap to send Obie to China. But if he goes hae him bring me back some kungpow chicken.

Obie is not going to China nor will he call any Women's World Cup games for ESPN. The Alleged Worldwide Leader has assigned JP Dellacamera and Rob Stone as play-by-play men. Obie will be assigned to baseball for ESPN and be allowed to do Red Sox baseball.
