Well, Lou, let us see how long this edit to the Wiki lasts!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_GeffnerAt least I tried damit!AL East Champions 2007.
A: not long!
Joe said today when turning the mic over to O'bie in the third inning that dave would be doing games into the playoffs starting wednesday. He didn't say how many but this sounded good to me.
I would be absolutely thrilled if they got someone else to do the International broadcasts.
Bad news. Our greatest fears have come into reality. While Dave will work the LDS, Bill Doyle of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports that Dave has definitely been assigned to MLB International so Goofner will work the LCS and WS if the Sox get that far. Very, very, very, very, very, very, very bad.
The largest atrocity in Red Sox Radio will now commence.Glenn Geffner.Postseason games.Well, my new destination for the ALCS, and hopefully the World Series, will be ESPN-Radio for innings 3,4,6 and 7.A fantastic job by Dave O'Brien this season, and it warms my heart that he's going to be around much more next season.
Ugh. So glad I live in NYC and will be listening to Sox games on ESPN radio when necessary (so long as the Rangers and giants aren't playing - LIKE TODAY). Glenn is an atrocity who must be stopped. Can't we hire the spooky kid from the Twilight Zone movie to seal his mouth up? Who's with me?
If any of you listened to the ALDS Game 3 postgame, you might have heard the sad news that Dave O'Brien has worked his last postseason game with Joe. For the LCS and WS he's moving over to call the games for ESPN International, leaving ol' pal Glenny G. to call the remaining Sox playoff games...gulp. Our only hope is the Sox don't win the WS in the tenth inning otherwise GiGi's call will be immortalized in the broadcast annals for all time. I'm already spinning...
Thanks for all the comments while I have been away. With the Worst Fears about to be realized in the ALCS, old Glenny best be ready for the backwash.Lc
I will have my TV on or if I'm in the car, ESPN Radio. Glenn Geffner behind the mike during key moments of the ALCS and possibly the WS pains me to no end.
