Shine A Light

In case you missed it from last night's live blog (and, frankly, I was pretty sick of it by the end, too), here's the last entry:

In the top of the 6th, Glenn, with the call, says that the 7 run bottom of the 5th was the worst inning in the playoffs for the Red Sox since (I think) 1995.

Didn't that guy see the game, I don't know
, three days ago, in which, to the best of my knowledge, the Indians scored 7 runs in the 11th inning.

Unbelievable.

That's part of his stick...

If Geffner is calling the game, whatever happens at the very moment when he's hovering over the mic is either the "best" acheivement or "worst" achievement or taken out of context, or isolated in a way through meaningless statistical references so that the event in time is exaggerated as to bring overexposure, drama and attention to himself.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't want Geffner on my Red Sox trivial pursuit game team; I just want him banned from the booth.

I want no part of Geffner's "stick".

I get the fact that he was talking about the worst 7-run fifth inning since 1995, but that seems to be slicing the bologna awfully thin, don't you think?
