First Dispatch From The Post-Geffner Era

Yes, it appears that our long regional nightmare is over.

The Miami Hearld reported earlier today that Glennski has taken the job as the No. 2 announcer for the most fan-deprived team in MLB. Talk about building the brand.

In actuality, it's a real come-down from doing 120 games for Your BRS to doing 162 games for a AAAA team.

Then again, Glenn hails from South Florida, so good for him.

AS IF BY MAGIC, The Red Sox announced at 3:34 pm that they have a new "vice president of public affairs". This is a post once held by Glenn Geffner, which was "unfilled" during his year as announcer. This space asserted that Geffner was serving two masters, but he was defended on some scores.

This is by far the best news I've heard this winter. I am absolutely FLOORED. It's like I've just won a prize. I feel liberated.
