Here's what I learned while listening to the exciting Red Sox broadcast last night (Sox win 1-0)

1. Some guy who who designed a new Ford shitbox was "glad to be here" about three times during his half-inning "appearance" in the booth with Joe and Dave. Not really a wordsmith, he described his prized vehicle as a combination family wagon, SUV and high performance vehicle.

2. Joseph Michael Morgan (aka the real Joe Morgan) has a granddaughter who is 7 or 8 and accompanied him to the park. TRJM had some bon mots for Joe C, such as "Pedroia is faster than they give him credit for" and "what's with that last road trip?" Always a pleasure.

3. The motto of the State of New Hampster is "Live free and make a big trade". See, because there is an inordinate number of GM in MLB from NH, such as the Twins GM and the assistant GM of the Red Sox, who used to be GM of the Royals. And also Brian Sabean. I just write them, folks, I don't make them up.

4. Bleeding into the broadcast in the bottom of the 8th with the game on the line, "Sweet Caroline" is annoying. Oh Oh Oh.

I didn't hear that Masterson is being sent down to be converted to the bullpen, but he is. I don't get it, but I'm not scary smart like Theo.

A game was going on in the background, which the Red Sox finally won on Manny's opposite field single. Yay Manny.
